Terms of use
Short version: it is offered as-is, for free, with no promises. Use it at your own risk.
No warranty
This app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. It may contain errors, it may score your playing wrongly, and it may stop working at any time.
At your own risk
You use it at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it — including lost practice data, lost recordings, damage to equipment, or hearing damage. Set your levels sensibly and protect your ears; the app plays audio and cannot know how loud your setup is.
The musical guidance is a practice aid, not teaching. It can be wrong about what you played and about what you should play next.
Your data and your playing
Anything you record or create stays yours, and stays on your device — see Privacy. Because it is stored only in your browser, it can be lost by clearing site data, by a browser update, or by a storage limit being reached. No backup is kept anywhere. Export anything you would be sorry to lose.
Third-party content
Backing tracks you add are played from YouTube and remain subject to YouTube's terms of service and to the rights of whoever owns them. You are responsible for what you add and for what you do with anything you record.
Availability and changes
There is no guarantee of availability. The app may change, break, or disappear without notice, and these terms may be updated the same way.
This is a plain-English summary written for a small personal project, not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
